For any family members visiting this site for the first time.  I am the Grand daughter of John Velarde  and Great Great Grand daughter of Acencion Velarde.  My mother Gloria Velarde (Montano) gave me 2  books all type written and asked if I could somehow figure out what pages were missing and or out of  order as the pages had fallen out.  This information was compiled by Mona Hedman in 1981 (pre- internet) a lot of work was put into gathering and typing everything, as well as quite a bit of  pictures photo copied.  So I found this web site and thought I'd try to somehow use it to help me  organize the families and put this binder back together.  Since the most recent birthdays ended in  1981 there is about 30 years of missing births, marriages and passings. Since the recent family reunion and  "Facebook" I've reconnected with people and missing people and found it would be so nice  to fill in as much  missing info as possible.
 So if you have family history and dates ready to enter just request to be a family member and cruise around the site  you will find it user friendly and can check out the family tree zoom out to see it in its entirety have fun and hope to  see the 30+ years fill in quickly.
